The Polytechnic of Coimbra recognizes the following special frequency regimes:
- Student with high-performance athlete status
- Young Association Leader
- Student with special education needs
- Firefighters that are also students
- Students doing military service
- Students who profess religious beliefs that keep holy a day other than Sunday
- Students in maternity and paternity situation
- Student worker (Articles 89 to 96-A of the Labor Code and article 12 of the Law that Regualtes the Labour Code)
